Illegals create a bevy of issues with using stolen SS#'s...is it unreasonable to prosecute them the same way as we do our own, tax paying, citizens?

No it's not unreasonable. They should be prosecuted to the extend of the law, by a jury of their peers and penalized like all of us. I came years ago from a foreign country and I respect the USA. That's why I learn English as soon as I came here. "When you are in Rome, you do as the Romans do."

No, it is not unreasonable. But getting the idea over to your local police dept and legislative powers may be. It seems they don't either know how to handle illegals or don't want to. Ask those in power locally if they feel the same way and what they are doing about it

Rock on sister!

That issue and the question of whether or not we should "credit" the illegals with the money they "paid" into SS on a stolen SS# makes my blood boil!

Regardless of the fact that the “illegal” alien is “paying” into the system, he/she has STILL broken a number of laws. He/she has STILL stolen another person’s Social Security number. He/she has STILL circumvented America’s immigration laws. He/she should NOT get “credit” for any funds “paid” into Social Security under a stolen number – what they should get is deported. End of story.

No. That is however, applying a simple answer to a loaded question.

More would be done if illegal immigration didn't have some benefit for some people. Low wage workers, large voting blocks (yes they vote though they do not have the "right") are all benefiting some group.

I do think the border fence is a bad idea, we would get more bang for our buck investing in the mexican economy.

That's the true argument for most I think- everyone pays taxes.Everyone goes by the same rules- and same laws. Fair is fair- its not an issue of local, race, creed or anything else for me- I don't care if youre purple! Just fair for all- no one wants to work to help someone by "force" let us choose our charity and also feel safe about whether criminals come in or not- couse I also don't want those who are trying so hard- legally to be so snarled in a stupid system either---

It is not unreasonable at all, what is unreasonable is to hold them to lower standard of law fullness.
It is unreasonable to assume that because of :
someone's race,
economic status,
nationality,
or immigration status;
that they are unable by virtue of any of the characteristics listed above to decipher right from wrong, legal from illegal.
Every body currently inside the boundaries of the United States of America are bound by the laws governing this great country regardless of race, religion, creed, sexual orientation, economic status or immigration status.

it's infuriating....illegals break the laws, don't pay taxes, abuse our welfare system, and cost us tax paying citizens billions...can you imagine going to another country illegally and getting away with all that?....our country is so worried about being politically correct, that these illegals are walking all over us...i know lot's of good tax paying citizens who can't afford health care in this country, but here these illegals are getting FREE health care...is that right?
it makes me sick

I'm for 'report and deport'. Mexico can take issue with their own lawbreakers. Get the border fence built, and take the people home that are from there and have no papers for being in the US.
Laws don't mean spit if they're not enforced...

Be reasonable - can you really expect high levels of legality and honesty from a Mexican? The low standards we hold them to are the best we can hope from Latinos.
