Three suggestions: drink a little water with sugar. get someone to scare you unexpectedly and third, light a match and dip it into a small glass of water. drink the water quickly. the sulfur cures hiccups for some reason.

Stand up bend at the waist, take a drink. Pour it on the roof of your mouth and swallow it. Works every time. Nobody ever wants to try it til they tried everything else first. Then they never try it another way when they get the hiccups again.

When I was 1st told this cure, I thought it was stupid, but it honestly works......try it!!!
Hold your nose close and plug your ears....while doing this have someone give you a drink of water, keeping your nose and ears COMPLETELY CLOSED. Drink about 1/2 a glass.
Your hiccups are now gone !!!

A good friend told me that drinking a teaspoon of vinegar never fails to cure her hiccups. I have never tried it myself, but she is very positive that it works!!!

eat a spoon of sugar. you have to chew it like you would anything else, the texture of it for some reason makes it work. my kids do this every time they get the hiccups.
