Check the yellow pages and make some phone calls. Ask the psychologists and psychiatrists you call if they are qualified to test for ADHD.

I would not like to rely on yellow pages since anyone can offer services. I'd ask someone who is knowledgeable to make a referral: your family doctor or the director of Special Services in your school district. They routinely refer kids for assessment.

I found many useful articles on the web by searching thru Yahoo before addressing the issue with his pediatrician.

My son's pediatrician was able to diagnose my son, and she prescribed medication for him. We will also start seeing a psychologist. Good luck to you!
