Just concentrate and obey the voices. Do what they say and everything will be fine.

It seems like it could be something electrical. Having looked at the answers you have received so far, they say more or less what I would suggest.
However, it may not be coming from your room or your house.

Have you an adjoining house or flat to yours?
It could be a fridge or central heating system, or any other electrical item such as TV on standby that you are hearing, from your neighbours.

Security alarm sensors can also cause a high pitch tone, as can smoke detectors. Every-ones hearing is different, so ask friends to listen, and find out if they can hear it also.

Faulty street lights can also give off a high pitch sound.

Sorry I can not solve your problem with one easy answer, but hope my suggestion's assist you.

Not electrical wiring. There must be something else if its high pitched. Another electrical device your not aware of. Do u have a floresecent light or r u using energy saving lamps? These produce high pitch noises. Turn off everything in the room including lights and see if noise still there. If yes, turn off elecy at fuse board and check. If still there then not an electrical problem.

nicely, get out of the room first and discover someplace fairly quiet. Take a relax. do not conflict through a headache only for an unknown sound. when you're in an enclosed room, the position ventilation is fairly really undesirable, open up the living house windows. The sound could come from interior your ear. attempt sensing any massive difference with door opened n door closed. wish this facilitates=)

If you leave the room and it continues, you've got Tinnitus. See a Doctor - but it's just as likely a light bulb on the way out OR you've got a plug not fully home and it's arcing! Check straight away - all plugs and sockets. Anything warm is dodgy !

Could be electrics - the power supplies for just about anything hum, particularly when they're just sitting there doing nothing much.

Do you have dimmer switches? They always seem to buzz. Other than that could be a normal light switch

If all the appliances are off or unplugged, look for any old hand held video games that you may have, or any other old noise making electronic devices you have. It could be one of those dying a SLOooow death.

Do you live near an MOD installation? It could be ultra sonic sound from Fylingdales or the fridge downstairs. These sounds are very difficult to pinpoint. Trying moving.

could be a pressure problem with your water pipes.
this could be to do with the outside pressure which you cant do alot about or a air block in your system.
does it change if you run a tap?
give it a try.
