So i just came back from the gyn, and none of my problems have been answered. I have been spotting on and off since my last LIGHT period, and as of today I am 2 days late.

I tell the good ol doctor this, and she doesn't give me a blood test like I feel like I need, she gives me a urine test for pregnancy which of course comes up negative. SHe procedes to do the pap, but then she says she can't really do it because of all the blood. What? I am not on my period, and I only see blood when I wipe. What is going on??? She took some samples and I don't know the results yet, but she gave me a prescription to stop the bleeding.

I really feel as if I am pregnant, because my body has never been through all the changes it has been through within the last month and it doesnt feel like I am coming on my period anytime soon. Has anyone else gone through this? What else could be the cause of my problems (nausea, spotting, tiredness, pelvic cramping)?

Maybe a new doctor is needed, what do u think?

I would take a pregnancy test at home and if you haven't gotten your period in a few days to a week, take another one. This should answer your question. You can always go to another doctor for a second opinion. You should be able to get along with your doctor. If you are pregnant, then you are going to be seeing a lot more of your gyn. It should be someone you can trust.

Hi. I didn't miss you your fist question, but I skipped over it, since I am a man.

I think you should definitely seek another opinion. That's the only way I know to help ease your mind. You might find out something different with a different doctor. Try to choose one that will listen you your questions and take your concerns seriously.

Good luck - This must be a big load on your mind - hope you get a quick resolution to this!

The urine pregnancy test used in hospitals and doctors' offices is almost as good as a blood test.

A second opinion wont hurt and if you feel unhappy with your current doctor then by all means go see another. It will be worth the peace of mind.
