I just had a baby 6 months ago, but I'm thinkin I want another one sooner than later, say in about 3 more months. I like the thought of them growing up close in age and getting them out the house at the same time. What is your opinion on this. Women who have babies close in age, is it more difficult or easier in the long run to get it out the way or is there a benefit in waiting.

You really need to give your body 12-18 months to recover between pregancies. If you have them too close together, it's hard on your body. You are more likely to have complications and/or a premature baby. Plus, having them too close together can jeopardize the milk supply for the older child if you are still breastfeeding.

I have 3- 9 yrs 7 yrs 4 yrs there's a 20 month distinction between the older 2 and they nevertheless can't do a similar issues. basically presently we went to Disney international and anybody replaced into able to get on a similar rides. very last 12 months, the 7 12 months previous wasn't able to get on each of the rides. at the same time as they were both little, they were both in diapers mutually, which replaced right into a soreness. If one wasn't crying, the different replaced into. They instigated one yet another and there replaced into no destroy. there's a huge distinction between the 9 12 months previous and the 4 12 months previous. notwithstanding that's tremendous because the 9 12 months previous can help me with the 4 12 months previous. do not imagine too tricky about it. when you've infant huge style a million, then at the same time as ever infant huge style 2 comes it is going to likely be tremendous - you received't be able to get pregnant quickly or you should get pregnant immediatly.

I've had both. That is, two children who were separated by 6 years, and two that are not quite 2 years apart. I can honestly say, it was easier for me when they were separated by years, as they did not compete with each other about everything. On the other side of things, it's easier for them when they are close in age, even when they compete, at least they build a bond with each other. It'll be easier for you in 20 years, then they both will be growing up near the same time and your older years can be spent how you wish.

Well, your babies won't be a couple of months apart, as you say...lol.
I have sisters and friends who have kids, three or four, about 18 months apart. They say it was really hard at the time, but the kids were really close to each other, and stayed that way. Just make sure you don't have two in diapers at the same time! I grew up with 5 siblings, we were all around three years apart, and not really close til we grew up.

i had my sons 18 months apart. its great. they are now 3 and almost 2 and they are best friends. My older son loves his baby brother and loves to take care of him. We are potty training my almost 2 year old and my 3 year old is so excitied about it. he tells his little brother not to go in the diapers but to use the potty. he claps for him when he makes it to the potty. its great. they hug and kiss each other. I would not have it any other way. We are now pregnant with a third child. I can not wait to see how they are with each other. Also my mother had my older brother 11 months before she had me. We were close growing up and now we live just down the street from each other. It was great having him to lead the way and be there for me. Good luck. and congrats on the little one.

I think having kids that are close age is a good thing.
They can always play together, the small one is not too small for the older one and you can still find some things that they can do together.
It's probably gonna be hard, you will have two kids in diapers but after the second one is out of them then no diapers anymore :) So that's a good thing.

i have a 3 year gap in my first two and an 18 month gap in the last two. there are pros and cons to each. at first the two youngest were very close but now that my daughter is 3, she prefers to play with her 6 yo sister when shes home, b/c her brother is still a baby yet. when he is a little older i expect they will play more together. they do adore each other tho. it is nice to have an older one around to "help" with the babies ! it was also nice to have those first 3 yrs alone with my first daughter, we were able to do so much together that i dont get to do so much now with the younger two. (gym classes, lunches, etc).

Not a good idea, you are going to deprieve the love for your first child by not being able to carry him and love him cause of your pregnancy , you dont want a rebel in your house do you ? give atleast three years gap between kids so that the elder one come to terms to love the younger one.

i read your body needs at least a year in between pregnancies. You should wait at least another 6 mo before trying.
