They don't really know about kisses, but one their ways of showing affection is nuzzle the noses together. Your cat may or may not believe you are trying to do the same thing. So, just gently rub your nose against your cat's nose and she will get the picture.

I think she knows you're being affectionate. I used to kiss my cat when he was alive and he'd rub his nose against me. My boyfriends sister has a cat and she does the same thing.

my cats know it means affection. and as for that answer about kissing your cat on the lips being sexual? definitely not buddy. and yes i DO kiss my cats fur. psh.

well, it will learn if you kiss her when shes good, but if u tell her off and then think she is beyond adorable and then kiss her shell get confused! but i know how irresistabke cats are....:D

Yuck! Do YOU know what it means? A kiss on the lips is a sexual act [surely you don't kiss its fur]. Cats apparantly like to be stroked - I suggest you stick with that.

depends i got a cat i say sox kissy and hell come over rub on my legs when i st down he chews my chin so yea its all in the way u train them

I not sure she know exactly, but, she does know affection. When we observe any animal we see they exhibit affection to each other and their young. They do the same with us.
