Jesus was a great man, whenever I read about him it gives me goosebumps. But he was not a blonde haired person as depicted in pictures. What was the conspiracy behind portraying him as a blonde haired, light skin, blued eyed person. Is it to make more europeans accept christianity becuase fundamentally europeans wouldn't have listened to even God if he was dark skinned.

You hit the spot,Europeans would never have brought the concept of Jesus being tall, dark and handsome but the truth is that is exactly what he is.

What you need to understand is ,the Europeans started painting biblical pictures and portraits in the middle ages and through the Renaisannce. You'll notice a lot of pictures ,the characters are not only "light" but dressed in Med- evil clothing. These people didn't travel. The assumed everyone probably looked like they did.Especially that one famous portrait of Jesus that everyone has seen.It was painted by a Dutchman, you can imagine his point of reference.
There's no doubt Jesus was at the least "Olive skinned",but remember,King David was "Ruddy and Fair" which translates to "Red haired and light" ,so let's not use "racial profiling"(joke).

You would have to do a bibical research which I have never done to see how Jesus really looked when he walked the earth.
there are lots of open questions like did they have cameras back then and or did they draw pictures as I think that how a picture was posed. They digging everthing else up one christ perhaps they will someday find his picture. Otherwise a person must have faith and simply believe and having feelings of goosebumps plays no part when reading the word of God.

Yes, Jesus was a great man and is even greater now that he lives within us. God created mankind, no matter the colour of your skin or eyes, and the texture of your hair.God chose a special woman fom a nation he knew the world would reject and scorned, to give birth to his son. Europeans see coloured people intimidating because of their strength and power so they use every force of evil to get rid of them. All are equal in God's sight . We were made in his own image.

No, the historical background isn't about recruitment or anything like that. Instead it was the Europeans not being able to accept that a darker skinned man could be something to worship, so they changed his image in their own.... sounds a little like blasphemy doesn't it?

I've never seen Jesus depicted once as a blond hair man. But, if he was, who cares? The point is that he loved and when he died he died for all, blond, black, brunette, red heads. Who cares what he looked like. At least we know he wasn't shallow!

The artist usually painted whatever race he was. In Revelation chapter 1, verse 14 , when John sees Jesus, His hair was white as lambs wool, and as snow. Maybe that's where they got it.

I think each artist has their own ideas about what Jesus looked like. I don't believe there actually was a conspiracy

God made us in his image. Accordingly, each of us pictures God as looking like ourselves. Until very recently, most people were illiterate, so in order to get a point across you needed to use pictures. People can understand and accept something that reminds them of themselves much more easily than if it was something that was totally foreign to them.

I think you already know the answer to this question.
But regardless of any conspiracy about his physical appearance.... his message still comes through, loud and clear, so his actual physical appearance is really not that important.
