That is like saying that everyone should follow the ways of Prince Siddhart Gautam Buddha and become Hindu or follow Muhammad and become polytheistic. A founder of a religion is categorized by the way they preached not by the way they were raised. The reason a person preaches a new religion is not so that his followers can follow the ways of his childhood and retain the old religion but so that they may be find enlightenment through his teachings.
