My gran was manx, not black right enough, but her name was Dora, and in the Isle of Man she often got called "Dolly".
My gran was a real character and the life and soul of any party and lived til she was 93! A good omen I think if you choose to call your cat after her!!!
You could call the cat after something Manx, or a place in the Isle of Man, what about Ramsey or Douglas or Laxy? (the Laxy Wheel), or even better Fairy, after the Fairy Bridge.
Hope these ideas help.

How lovely. I always thought they were unusual cats. Cant think of any better names than you have been given already. If she were male you could call her Douglas. What about Trio - the manx symbol is 3 legs or Lady Isobella, the name given to the Laxey wheel?

I have a black cat that I call "spooky" (actually, "spookygirl")
Don't refer to her as "spook" though.. that's racist, which I didn't realize until one haloween a couple of kids showed up at the house and asked what her name was. I said "spook" and had no idea why their mom removed my candy from their trick-or-treat bags and threw it on my doorstep. Then I clued in that they were black.
A friend had a black cat she called "Lucifer" (loosey fur)
"Lorena Bobbit" is kinda' humerous
"Minxy" is kinda' neat as a female derivative of "Manx"
Enjoy your cat!

When we got our kittens we looked up pet names on the computer.
We have a manx and his name is Napri. It's supposed to be a Kings name.
It's brothers name was Lotus.
My daughter named them.
