I'm No Dr. Either But If Your Daughters Left Kidney Is OK And The Right One Isn't Deseased Her Left One Should Be Able To Compensate. As the Other Answers Have Said, One Kidney Can Do All The Work. This Is Why They Allow Live Doners For Transplants.
Please Try Not To Worry Yourself Too Much. If There Is Something You Want To Know, Ask The Experts Who Are Looking After Your Daughter. They Should Have All The Answers You Need. God Bless You One And All.

Your doctors are "watching" the kidney to make sure the good kidney is functioning properly since the bad one is non functioning. They need to keep an eye on it to rule out any future problems.

Many people have one kidney and live a healthy lifestyle. A single kidney will be slightly larger than a kidney which works in a pair. If the doctors conclude your daughters single kidney will function normally, your daughter can live a healthy life.

I am not a doctor, but if I'm not mistaken, we can live with only
one kidney if need be. Perhaps this is a temporary situation, and it "will" starting working right. But either way, ask about having one kidney, and what she should & should not do, just in case it ends up that way. I'll say a prayer for both of you, And I know when you "really" talk to God about things, he "does" hear you.

I'm not a Dr. but I was born with one kidney. The dr's told me that it takes up the work load and compensates for the other one. I'm 35 and havent had any problems.

Many people do just fine with only one kidney. That's why people can donate kidneys. You have little to worry about, she'll likely do just fine.
