LIFESTYLE! Our society has pushed our kids to be older than they really are. My daughter (age 21) and I were just discussing this. She sees girls out trying to buy makeup and "hook up" with their guy friends at the mall at an age when she used to play Barbies with all her friends. She was watching Little House on the Prarie, collecting American Girl Dolls and just being a kid for awhile.
TV has a lot to do with it. The themes the kids are dealing with are becoming more and more complex and adult--without need. The kids try to bring this into their "real" lives.
Kids become involved w/sex and drugs or alcohol at a younger age now too. This lifstyle often progresses into adulthood.
More divorces cause kids to take on a role they should not have to also. The age between 10-15 has lost it's true identity.

you should check out the website for Health@Realage.com and take their age test. Their are alot of factors that can play a role.
I have always looked about five years younger than my age but the last three years have been brutal and now I look my age. So stress and diet definately play a role. I'm certain about that.
