There's this woman that I really like, and I want to get her something for christmas. I don't want to ask her for ideas, otherwise she might get suspicious. I want to get her something that says I like her, but that says it really subtle. We're quite good mates and I don't want to lose anything with her.

I don't want the traditional presents (jewelery, flowers, teddy bears, etc) unless you can convince me. I want to go for something original and special. Any ideas, I'm fresh out.

I've not got a budget, but I don't want to spend too much.

The way I see it, if I spend hundreds o pounds just telling her I like her, I'm gonna need to keep that up just to feel like I'm not letting her down. (It's the way my head works)

Not only that, but if things backfire, I haven't spent loads of money for nothing.

BTW, I haven't told her how I feel because I get really nervous around women that I like. I need something to break the ice (that isn't a giant polar bear.).

Find out what perfume is her favourite and instead of that buy her all the layers - example - get her the body lotion, the hair mist, hand cream, some shops do gorgeous little deals on samples that look gorgeous and don't cost the earth. Good luck!

the best thing to do for the type of girl that you are talking about would be to find out a hobby, project or somthing else she really likes or wants to see then try going from there. you could go for a gift card but always try to go for that one if its a last resort and its 1/2 an hour till shell be over to open presents.

i got bought a vine in France once and now i get to buy wine from it at a very discounted rate. It was imaginative and thoughtful and it's an excuse to go on holiday to France!
