When you give me your answer please try to make it as rational and logical as possible, and please avoid doing any of the ff:
1.) making insolent attempts to put one race above another. You know who I'm talking about... Race means nothing to me in this issue and I hope its the same for you.
2.) using irrational references to the pilgrims, Native indians and the 19th-early 20th century Irish, Germans, Japanese, etc immigrants. Why? because this is the 21st Century, not the 17-19th centuries when colonization and mass movements of people were still fashionable.
3.) using "its stolen land" arguments. Why, because if one thinks about it all nations today are built upon "stolen land"... It's called conquest and war. (I may not like it but what can you do...Another war?)
4.) using the pity "they're poor and deserve to come in" argument, because worse criminals can say the same thing ("I'm poor so I have to steal/kill/rape/murder").

Sittinpretty... I'll clarify something for you. Your argument is not for illegal immigration per se (which is what I am asking about)... What exactly it is for... I'll have to deliberate on that some more.

I seem to have drastically OVERESTIMATED the capabilities of the average defender of illegal immigration aka pro-illegal (this is to answer that kong guy).

It is hard to have an argument for illegal immigration because it is "illegal". We just need to find better ways to accept the people who want to come into this country so it is LEGAL. Although it is the 21st century I believe the US's stance on immigration should still coincide with the "Great American Melting Pot".

As a few of the answers stated before me, illegal is just that...illegal or against the law. It is a crime and these people should be punished by deportation. And let me tell you, the people who stand out by the road waiting for work are NOT cheap labor. They are shrewd. They accept the job for $7 an hour and then come back and say they want $9 or $10. How is this cheap? They put more of a strain on our economy than help it. I'll dig my own French drain, thank you!
These people know that if they have a baby in this country they are automatically "entitled" to welfare. How does this help? Many live off my tax dollars that I can't access if I fell on hard times because I have been intelligent and didn't get pregnant when I couldn't afford to support the child myself.
Are you aware that there are government funds set aside for these people to get health care? Most people do not know that this money was set aside by Bill Clinton and a Democratic congress.
My great-grandmother and her parents immigrated here in the 1800's. This was a legal immigration. Now I can't blame these people for wanting a better life than they have in their home countries, but I would hope that our Border Patrol would be given the manpower and support needed to stop this illegal activity and our police forces the same to enforce the laws on the people who are here illegally.

Most persons are in opposition to unlawful immigration (even the undocumented employees) All persons wish a technique to this challenge however no one has a truly technique to it. I feel that the one persons which are in favour of unlawful immigration are the massive firms( they're those that improvement essentially the most) they usually might no longer speak approximately it due to the fact you'll see who's accountable for this challenge. Now! I received to reply tho the primary remark approximately undocumented no longer been competent to reply this question due to the fact they don't talk or understand how to make use of a laptop. you feel USA residents are so shrewd, good Got to inform you a tale, I recognise many USA residents(whites) that feel that Africa is a nation, that Mexico is handiest TJ. That Alaska is a nation and no longer a state, that Europe is handiest France and Germany, They can't identify the capital in their state, The handiest flag that they may be able to establish is the USA flag and the flag in their favorite crew and I can hold going and going. So, USA residents don't seem to be as shrewd as you feel. Now! coming again to the predicament; Illegal immigrants support the USA economic system plenty. To end up it! I am going to invite you a query. What California, New York, Texas, Florida, Nevada, Oregon, Washington have in ordinary? Well the reply is that they've the quickest developing economies in thee USA. One of them is the eighth economic system on this planet (California) but in addition, they all have a massive attention of undocumented employees. If they undocumented employees had been relatively that dangerous those states economic system might be in hindrance. So, you spot undocumented employees support this coutry. They eat and use many offerings. Just watch TV in spanish you'll see Dysneyland, common studios, pizza hut, dominos, Macdonalds, Ford , chevy, Nissan, Doge, olive lawn, Best buys, ESPN, Nascar, NFL, Hometown buffet, Denn's, IHOP, Low's Home Depot, Bank of America, WM, good fargo and lots of extra, if the undocumented employees had been so deficient those firms might no longer spend their money and time in Spanish talking persons(YOu anticipate that everyone that talk spanish are ilegal or professional-ilegals) So as you'll see, undocumented employees are a well supply of wealth.

I am not for illegal immigration but in answer to your question that would be for the freedom to the unimpeded right to get rich, to use their ability, no matter what the cost to others, to win advancement. To live where they want. That is the only answer I can think of-a humanity reason.
Having said that--it does not help those here. In fact it hurts us in many different way. Freedom without Protection is worthless in this world as it is now. And without protection we lose the very things people come here for.
We need to protect these freedoms--we do that by laws-that should be enforced. So we would have to put the citizens here first to be fair-that is how it should be. It is impossible to please everyone in the world, here-and no one should expect us to.
Hurt to help is the wrong way. I would have to hear a better way to help -the breaking of our laws I will not support.

I don't believe there will be many viable answers on this,I think your details covered most of the pro illegals answers/reasoning's on this matter.I have been wanting to hear a reason that I could live with to justify this unlawful act.I am not without compassion but my compassion is reserved for legal Americans.I don't think there are any fact based pro illegal arguments on this issue.(the good for the economy argument,I will address that below.)
It's too bad Alan Greenspan wasn't exposed for the old fraud he is while he was the Fed chairman. When he started mumbling on during some senate testimony about how the United States must open the gates to immigration so we can keep "our" economy growing, it would have been great had we a senator on the committee with the intelligence and character to nail him.
The size of the overall economy is an economic statistic with no value outside its usefulness to frauds like Lawrence Kudlow, Tamar Jacoby, and the editorial board of the Wall Street Journal as a means to hoodwink gullible and short-sighted Americans into acquiescing to the radical transformation of their country through mass

Im gonna give you my argument, although I dont know how sensible it will appear to you. lol. About 49 years ago, my father came here from Mexico legally and brought my mother over illegally, they were not married yet and got married here. She was legal within a couple of years. They are both at this point citizens. They later went on to have five children, throughout the years in between more and more of my relatives came over the same way but most of them were granted amnesty in 1986 but by then had gotten married, had children, and for the most part they owned homes. Now, Im not saying that Im for illegal immigration, Im kind of caught in the on the fence on this one because it hits so close to home. However, I also feel this problem wouldnt have gotten so out of control had we actually enforced our own laws and sealed our borders. Another problem is the fact that the legalization process is so darn long, Ive known families who applied when their children were young and by the time it was their turn or approval time came around some of the kids were already adults and so they were disqualified from the process. How discouraging is that?! Now, Im also not ignorant to the fact that illegal immigrants are also responsible for how high our crime rate is and welfare fraud as well. So I say lets deport those in our jails and caught committing such fraud. Lets implement a better screening system for the welfare application process so that people using fake ss#'s are caught before given benefits. Now here's where Ill get the "thumbs down", Im all for granting amnesty to those who have been here for over 10 years, who have been proven to be working steadily, do not have a criminal record, and who have never been on government assistance. That process will also help us to further weed out the bad ones. Well, hope this helped, Im sure there is more I can write but its still too early. ILLEGAL IS ILLEGAL, blah blah blah, we know this, they know this too, but that sounds so simple and black & white, were it so, wouldnt the solution be as well and wouldnt we have done something about it if it were??!!

There is no defense of this issue - ILLEGAL is just that - illegal.
Hope y’all understand this – I love America and I feel anyone who wants to come here – the correct way and add their history to ours should be able to do so. But, I HATE people who cut in line – at the bank, the grocery store – and in regards to immigration.
Regardless of the fact that the “illegal” alien is “paying” into the system, he/she has STILL broken a number of laws. He/she has STILL stolen another person’s Social Security number. He/she has STILL circumvented America’s immigration laws. He/she should NOT get “credit” for any funds “paid” into Social Security under a stolen number – what they should get is deported. End of story. Perhaps our immigration laws need to be re-worked (okay, they DO need to be re-worked) but the way to affect this change is not by disregarding them completely.
Those neighbors, family, friends, and co-workers who have illegal immigrants cutting lawns and doing work that they prefer to hire out are contributing to the erosion of our country as a strong economic backbone of this continent. It is not “convenient” to go pick up a day laborer to do work on the yard or house – it is a crime.
Consider the following – not counting my Native American ancestors – Iroquois and Mohawk both (and we will leave a discussion of treatment of Native Americans to another day) – my Italian and Scottish/Irish great-grandparents came here legally through a process and were required to learn the language so that they could get work, read packaging in the grocery store, navigate the cities and towns, and communicate with others. There was no product packaging written in Gaelic or Italian. Street signs were not written in their native language either. Job applications, driving tests, etc were in English only.
This country needs to STOP being so politically correct. We are destroying this nation by our misguided belief that to be a “good” American or a “good” Christian, we must look the other way while “minorities” are allowed to break laws with no repercussions. Well, there are MAJOR repercussions – schools are declining in their quality and ability to provide services. Teachers are leaving service because of requirements that they be bi-lingual and teach in both Spanish and English. Hospitals are closing because they are not being paid for services provided to people who are not legal immigrants – and therefore have no insurance and most have no intention of paying out of pocket. Jails are filling up because of serious increases in crimes – the percentage of crimes committed by illegal aliens is higher than any other social group. Why is this? Perhaps because they are “desperate” or perhaps because they have already committed felonies and gotten away with it – so why not? It becomes easier the further you slide into lawlessness. In Texas, a number of brutal killings of police officers and civilians have been recently committed by illegals – people who had already been deported at least one time!
Perhaps you think I am callous or racist or just plain stupid. But, let me tell you this – America has a short time to pull its collective heads out of our collective butts. The laws against illegal immigration that are on our books right now need to be enforced. We need to close our borders to further illegal immigration. We need to stop the NAFTA super highway construction from the Mexican border to the Canadian border. We need to take a good hard look at true immigration reform. We need to END this environment of “Politically Correct” stupidity and raise our social values for our children before it is too late and this country becomes a warm fuzzy memory.
Eternally Politically Uncorrect

ten bucks an hour to hire the guy over by the Home Depot or $15? $20? to go hire somebody else to dig that french drain - which will you choose? Thirty bucks a month for gardening vs sixty? Eleven bucks an hour average labor cost in your meat packing plant vs twelve? People like to save money, just ask Sam Walton's kids.

Illegal immigrants DO NOT PAY TAXES but use a countries resources. You have to show proof of American citizenship in order to get a SS # and you don't fill out an income tax form without a SS #. The only pro that I can think of is providing a work force for lower paying jobs that are hard to fill.

what I think is funny is when I ask typical white Americans (like myself) what nationality they are, example, German, Irish, whatever, and they say they don't know, there Americans, what really amazes me more is people to talk about illegal immigration and if they do a little research many of them, their parents just came to this country. But I think the above questions rationalizes all rebuttals, you say it isn't about color of skin, but it is, you say before it was fashionable but not now, people before were against it, you say we cant say anything about stolen land because so called everybody does it (doesnt make it right). Where they draw the line, I have no idea. The mixing pot is what made this country so great and if you really take a look at most americans you will find they are a mix of different countries, races and cultures. If you look at all our greatest minds, they all came from somewhere else, just like all of us, we are a very very young country.
