Italy is absolutely beautiful. If you are going there you have to see Milan if you like fashion, Florence if you like art, Rome because of the Spanish Steps and the Coloseum, Pompeii for the history and Sorento because it is the most amazingly magical town I've ever been to. The people are accomodating and seemed very sweet. Every time we went to a cafe, they were very attentive and we met an Italian couple on the street who showed us around Rome.........

Italy is a beautiful country with a wonderfully rich history. The people are nice, they are decent and they are hard working. Traveled there in August of 2004. From Northern Italy (Alps/Lake Como/Erba) to the Cinque Terra/LaSpezia (Mediterranean Ocean side) thru Florence; Rome; Naples and Pompeii (modern city and ancient ruins) we had terrific food, best wine ever tasted, lovely accommodations and met some of the nicest people. We also had an issue in Rome with almost being pick-pocketed (just like any other big city whether it be in the States or anywhere else in the world),also had an issue in Naples where the cab driver way overcharged us. But again that happens in all major cities. Most of our travels were done by train and the rail system there is excellent. They are not fond of Pres. Bush, so if you are a Bush supporter, don't let on. Generally found they like America and Americans (again as long as you are not a supporter of the current administration or the war).

I would go back there again and have seriously entertained the thought of retiring to that country.

Italian people are very warm and kind from my experience. A bit elaborate in their actions. The southerners from Naples and Sicily are a bit loud and overbearing but I am sure they are nice too. I have never been to Italy but know a fair few italians. would like to visit it some day but I believe it is an expensive country.

Very emotional. Strong family ties. Sons love their mothers very much. They make quality films. Italy is a beautiful country, with good food, very talented people. I love their tenors! I like the fashion. Would love to learn Italian. Good leather products. Their gardens are splendid. Their Vespa is a marvel. The cars are so appropriately designed for their narrow streets. Good ice cream (gelato). I don't like their pizzas though, very oily. They love the good life (la dolce vita). They have produced a lot of saints. I like the colors of the paints they use on their houses. Warm colors. I just got frustrated to see that the canals in Venice are not clean. I love the people in Venice. They are quaint. Their street clothes seem like party clothes. I love the sculptures on the streets by Bernini. I like their small hotels. They have a citrus fruit thats colored red, and its nice to be made into a cold drink. Is it an orangeaid? I like the Sistine Chapel and the St. Peter's Basilica, although we were thinking it should be cleaned more often. I envy the place having eternal water spouting from faucets everywhere, and it's safe and refreshing to drink. I love the authors. Bon giorno.

Italy - never been there but would love the opportunity to go some day. It looks like such a beautiful country.

Italians - nice people. I dated an Italian once. He called himself the Italian Stallion. lol! He was a great guy but a little possessive. Loved his family though - they were always trying to feed me and fatten me up! :)

Hello, I love Italia and Italians.

The people (especially in the small towns) are VERY friendly and go out of their way to help others. The Italians dress well and have a great loyalty to their family which I think is special.

The landscape is beautiful and diverse from the island of Sicily to the rolling plains of Tuscany to the ski slopes of Turin. You really have to travel to the whole of Italy!

Rome is historically rich full of great architechure and historical sites. Not to mention GREAT DESIGNER shopping!!!

If you want romance there is the canals of venice and the city of venice. The food is Italy is great and my favourite has to be GELATO! Yum ... Yum .. Yum

I think Italy is a wonderful place to visit. The country is beautiful, and full of history. The people are friendly. There is something to do all day and night. You can even find something to do during siesta ( if you really want to). I enjoyed every place I visited, but I have a few favorites. I loved Rome, Pompeii, and Sorento. My all time favorite place is the Island of Capri; from there you can go to the Blue Grotto it is amazing!!!

Italy is beautiful and clean. The people are not over friendly but nice. There are so many lingerie shops there the women must all buy tons of underwear. The food in even the fast food restaurants is better then the UK's restaurants. They wear real fur which I am against. It's expensive. It gets very cold in the north in winter.
