Ranger training is intense. The applicants are screened for mental and physical strength because of the nature of the training. The selection process is very competitive and requires good evaluations by your superiors plus written recommendation by your leadership.
The training itself is rigorous and consists of long periods of sleep deprivation and operations in horrible conditions with no external support. That means you forage off the land and learn to survive with a minimum amount of equipment. The dropout rate is over 50% because of the mental stress and physical abuse. However when you have completed this course you are forever changed for the better.

Some proper spelling and general communications skills would help. Closing your paragraph with "Lead the Way" is only going to get you about 00.01% of the way to earning the Ranger Scroll. Physically, you need to be able to max, or come very close to maxing the APFT. The Rangers currently have a minimum score requirement of 80 in each event (240 overall). To be competitive, you should be able to max the overall score at 300. Mentally, you either have the drive to push yourself into unthinkable levels of punishment, or you don't. RASP, the Ranger Assessment and Selection Program is very similar to Navy BUD/S in that it's a very grueling selection process, except of all the programs that each SOF operates, RASP is the fastest-paced, and incorporates significant sleep deprivation and other psychological factors that the others generally avoid. Fortunately, it's relatively short. Most prospects that wash out will do so on Day 1, and at the beginning of Week 4. As for a general idea, how about this: "Surrender is not a Ranger Word." Keep in mind that the only way to guarantee yourself a CHANCE to get into RASP is to ask your recruiter about an Option 40 contract. In addition to OSUT, you will also attend Airborne School prior to RASP through this option. Alternatively, you can inquire about getting a slot in RASP after gaining experience in a regular Army unit, preferably with an MOS listed on the link I'm leaving under this post. EDIT: By the way, the Ranger motto is "Sua Sponte" (Of Their Own Accord), and (referencing your sign-off) it's RANGERS Lead the Way!

Hard is not even close. I had to recycle during Mountain Phase but I eventually finished, I'm glad I did it but I would never do it again.
