Because there are some denominations that believe the Fourth Commandment is still in effect. If they understood the New Covenant, they would know this is not the case.
For example, Seventh Day Adventists claim "Sunday worship" is the "mark of the beast" written about in Revelation.
I hope this helps. Peace.

Because the events that take place in the church revolve around old pagan astrological events. Christmas and Easter also known as the Death and Birth of the Son. These church laws were invoked by Constantine when he had his so called scholars decipher and choose between the texts you filthy serfs were allowed to read. Only the chosen scholars are able to enter into the vacuum sealed chamber beneath the Vatican. This is where you will find your secrets that have been kept for so long. But I am sad to say that many stories of the past have been destroyed by generations before us. We are afraid of the truths about ourselves. So we choose to gather together and destroy anything which we want to disappear from history. It will happen again. A crazed lunatic of a leader will destroy all religions which they feel inappropriate for the move forward. Then there won't even be the watered down version of the Bible around. Just exactly what the Bible says will happen. Sometimes I think that Constantine would have liked to have done away with the rituals as well. This is where you see the osmosis of different beliefs. That's is why we have the Catholic version of Christianity. They build huge dome structures to represent the mothers womb. They pay om age to the Mother Goddess and call her Mary. There is so much twisted history and so many books. I think this is why he narrowed it down to the parts that mattered the most. That being the beginning, the coming, the second coming and the end. That's why he chose what he did. Because, up until the coming of God to earth nothing else in histroy had been so amazing. Constantine noticed the sense of community among the Christians so he decided to change the world to Christianity. He did all right for awhile. But we still have the twisted ritual pagan Catholics who most of them have no idea about it anyways. I call these the blind walkers. You also can't rule out all the twisted versions of the others like the Mormons, or the Latter Day Saints, or Baptist, or Penecostle and the list goes on. What it all comes down to is your hearts my friends. How you walk the walk of life. God knew their would be confusion in the end. This is why he just said believe in me and remember me and when I return you will all come home with me. So we started history all over again. That is why we have the date 2006. It has been 2006 years since Jesus was nailed by us to the cross. What happened the date 0 was the event that changed everyones destiny. This is where the New Testament is derived. Now their will be no more sacrafice of innocent blood upon the alter. To me the Bible is like all the human emotions contained in a book. At times I feel happy reading, and others I feel literally scared of what it says. I think that their are so many different ways to go in this world and that is how the Devil confuses us. This is why he came and died for our sins. He knew how cunning and deceitful his fallen angel could be, and still is.

You are correct in that the Old Testament Church Sabbath was Saturday. However, the New Testament Church met on "The Lord's Day", which would have been "Sunday". Seventh Day Adventist believe that we must "Remember the Sabbath and keep it Holy". However, Christ came to set us free from the Law. It really doesn't matter if you worship on Saturday, Monday, or Thursday. Christ set us free from the Law.
I'm sure there are some Godly people in the Seventh Day Adventist Church. But any time a church ties anything other than Grace to salvation, they are off in their theology. Our salvation is through the Grace of Jesus Christ, and nothing else. It is not through the Grace of Jesus Christ and meeting on Saturday (the true 7th day).
So, if someone is "biting your head off" because you mention that, then they are over-reacting to a theological issue that they haven't yet fully understood.

I have absolutely no idea! I personally couldn't give a fig if someone said that historically Christians met on Sunday. I mean, that's why we meet on Sunday nowadays. I guess some Christians haven't read their Bibles properly and are getting a wee bit mixed up with Judaism.

And the last book of the BIble was given on Sunday...
And Pentacost was on Sunday
And Paul had gift and offerigns collected EVERY sunday
And Euticus fell out of the window on Sunday
ouch
Catholic church can;t take credit for that one...but frankly this is something Christians can disagree on and not an essential

I don't know? I do know that Jesus is the Lord of the sabbath. And that the sabbath was made for man, not for God.
I also know that, it does not matter what day you esteem greater than another. Just that you take a day to rest.
God bless and hold what ever day you want as a day of rest.

I do not have any definitive answer for you on that but I would simply say you should keep everyday holy as it one God did not have to give to you. And that you should not limit yourself to 1 or 2 days to give Him praise for all He has done, consistently does, and will do for you in the future. All of that is given you consider yourself a Christian...which I do.

As Christ said, "they will know we are Christians by our love."
That doesn't mean that their are not those who call themselves Christians and are simply poor examples of Christianity, nor does it mean that Christians don't have cause to get angry when "the gospel is thrown to the dogs."
If you discuss ANY religion with someone of faith, it is best to be reverent and respectful in your dialog, if you want to have your point of view heard. Usually, that is enough.
