I must enter into my response this way to make sense. Man's first greatest need is the Lord for assurance of eternal life with him. Man's second greatest need is the capacity that the Lord gives him to do the things he does each day/night before seeing/experiencing that eternal destiny.

Fantastic question!!

I think it's the need to feel accepted. We're constantly searching to see where we "belong" - at school or work, with friends, with family, in the right career, etc. Man has moved in groups/societies of sorts since the beginning. I think we all just want to know we're "home."

According to Maslow, it's safety. The first need is biological. And it's Abraham Maslow not Roger.

Water. The first being God. You can live without food for awhile but all things need water. Trust me on this...I still have the hole from the feeding tube to prove it.
