I shoot mostly portraits and use available light the majority of the time.
Do both cameras have similiar noise issues? Are skin tones natural?
Any input welcome!

PS I am looking at these 2 models as I like the idea of the dust cleaning sensor. The D80 is just slightly more than I want to spend.

The Canon has better low light capabilities at higher ISO settings. The E500's high ISO noise is well documented.

I'm sorry, I don't know very much about the Olympus E500, but I am a Canon XT owner. It's a fantastic camera. I would definitely stay within the Canon line of products, they are of higher quality than Olympus's, I believe. Hope you enjoy whichever you get.
