Could it be someone who knows us? It happened a year ago and again two nights ago... Last year a whole litter, this time two!
We have our own cats, and live in a regular neighborhood, it seems to me they know we have three of our own so they do it for that reason..
Why do people not spay and neuter???

Who knows?
In the meantime, here's an absolutely true story: years ago, my sister and her husband were out for a morning walk. As they passed the house of a neighbor, they noticed a cat jumping out of the window of the neighbor's car, which was parked in the driveway.
They were afraid that the cat had used the car for a litterbox, so they went to the front door, and told the neighbor what they had seen.
All three of them investigated the car at once. There wasn't any cat poop, but there WAS a kitten!
It was eventually discovered that the cat had a litter of several kittens who were now old enough to be on their own, and she was distributing them to the neighbors, one by one!
The guy decided to keep the kitten, by the way. And, this is totally true!

While i would like to tell you it is probably someone who lives close by that may not be the case.I have had the same problem,we now have 7 cats. But in my case I'm thinking its because they see a big red barn and other cats walking about.People can be very ignorant when it comes to the responsibilty of pets or they do not have the money to spay or neuter.Or perhaps they would rather not take to your local shelter in hopes you will keep them. Its hard to say why people do the things they do.

Maybe it's random. Pepole who dont get thier cat fix . Shouldn't have cat's or dogs at all. They dont really care that cat's and dogs are homeless and get put down everyday , by the SPCA. If a person want's a pet. They should make a appointment with a vet or the SPCA and get their pets fix. Before they take thier new pets home from the SPCA or any pet store.

Hi there...sounds like someone knows you have a good heart and will know how to help the kittens even though those people lack the responsibility to spay/neuter or they could have found the kittens if they were strays.

It's the kitten fairy!!
People probably figure you already have cats and will provide for them - the same thing happens to my grandmother who breeds border collies; they just show up on her doorstep with no note or nothing - people are ridiculous and assuming to think that where ever they drop these poor innocent aninmals that someone will just automatically take them in and care for them.
Hope you can find them homes.

It could be someone you know, someone that knows you have cats, or someone in the neighborhood. They may have thought that since you take care of your pets so well that you might take care of them.
Also, if they weren't in a box or anything the mother cat may have brought them there. Animals can sense a good home. We have 3 dogs that are spoiled rotten and all the strays, loose dogs, and dogs that were dumped in the area end up in my yard. I end up feeding them and such.

Oh my I wish I new??
Word is out that you will care for and take these kittens in. Nothing wrong with this until people start dropping critters off on you! I had this plenty! Dogs (one was a wolf something?), cats, get this I even had a alligator dropped off!! Snakes, birds even wild birds, gosh caged critters...Went to feed the horses one day and there was a pregnant mare in my pasture!! This I found out was a mistake after I penned her in one of the back pens and fed her to get her in there! I was not even thanked for not calling in the sheriff who would have had her hauled off! She kicked the crap out of my two horses....I was called to take in 14 lamas before, what would I do with 14 lamas??
Anyhoo people will hear that our homes are safe for critters and to lazy to take the critters into the pound or find homes for them...or heavens forbid get there cat, dog whatever spayed....

it could be someone who knows about the first litter of kittens you took in. They probably assume that you will know how to handle these two litters and will treat them well.
Think of it this way: they think your family is filled with kind people =)

Too much trouble for them I guess. They drop off at your house because they obviously know you're good to animals.
