I am a new ESL teacher and I an having trouble explaining the idea of "worth." Does any body know good sources for exercises or a good way to explain?

Worth is nothing more than something you place value on. The higher the value the higher the worth. This is just not about money either. Works with life, and all aspects of it.

if you are teaching comparatives, get pictures or objects and ask them to line them up from:
- greater worth to lesser
- biggest to smallest
- heaviest to lightest
- ...
so a balloon would be lesser worth but bigger size than an apple
you get the idea

Teaching involves more than information. They can get info from a book. Bring color, smells, sounds, fun into a class.
