Many religions would fall for the lack of any significant leadership. In the past, when a country tried this, they found it a lot harder, because there was a lot more people in leadership roles, but as generations have passed, less people are willing to take on these roles, which is why we see less but larger churches. Only a few religions could easily survive a banning, because everyone in the religion are educated ministers. Three people getting together is a Bible meeting. One major problem is that a church is not needed for worship, as it is individual and personal, but most Christians have been taught that they have to attend church to worship God.

If you live in America, then people should have the freedom to worship as they see fit and believe in whatever they want. Banning religion would change what this country is, and when you start banning one thing, you can be assured there will be plenty other things banned because someone doesn't like it.

Religion!!! What is it ? Who's doctrine is it based on, Being A christian is based on faith, In the Father, Son and Holy ghost, . Religion is something man created to divide Christians. Think about it Did Jeuse Have a Religion or a single unified message to All of mankind. The Lord loves all of us. He don't care about your Religion, I believe Religion is going to be the down fall of mankind.
John 3:16 God loved the world so much the he gave his only son. Anyone who believes in him will not die but will have eternal life(NIrV).
They can't ban faith, They can just feed you to the lions.

Religion will never be banned for several reasons. one needs to remember Religion is one of three ways in which one can gain control in society as long as one does the job properly. these people tell when the best time is to hunt, plant crops, harvest crops, explain and perform Religious Rituals and Ceremonies, explain the movements in the heavens and earth, perform the Ceremonies and Rituals for the dead, etc.

By the look of all these answers I would say Elton Johns career is to hit an all time low, especially from the religious sec, I personally believe God will punish these people harshly, societies fall from immoral acts and ours is in the process, those that follow this immoral path will surly feel Gods wrath come judgement day, what is ironic here is they think God supports their foul life style, what needs to be banned here is homosexuality.

We would have chaos
and to respond to Erica H.
you say
"UGH...and please stop saying GOD-GIVEN FREEDOMS!!!
Your god's law has NO place in this country. We have the Freedom of Religion thanks to the Constitution, not the bible."
You are absolutley wrong in your stament. God has EVERYTHING to do with this country. Our Forefathers left Europe to escape the religious tyranny and oppression so they could come here and worship God freely .
And you are correct that the Constitution protects our rights to religion, but our leaders are more and more striking down the Constitution and taking those rights away from us.
Our rights ARE God given, but they "man taken away".
It was supposed to be Freedom OF Religion....not freedom FROM religion.
The government was meant to merely keep their hands out of it, yet they have taken it over and tell us what we can do and what we can't do.
And you know what?.....Our society reflect those priciples too.
Kids killing kids without remorse, abortion is rampant, more murder than ever, ..........Shall I go on?
You need to open your eyes and look at the real world

I think the people who want to ban it are being to judgemental, I'm not a big bible brasher and I'm not even sure if there is a god, but for those who do it's there opinion and their choice to live as they like and believe in who they choose, is it any different to worshipping celebrities?

While I am not religious, I am aware that it is largely religious doctrine that truly is the opiate of the masses. It is what keeps the poor from eating the rich, so I am not for it's total abolishment. I am however, against the use of religion as the basis for governmental policy.

There is no need to ban religion. It has served its purpose and is already being dissolved. Water baptism will soon cease. humanity will live on a level of spiritual unity with God in unconditional love.
