Would the cost of purchase installation and maintenance ever be recouped?
Same question applies to B&Q wind turbines.

not a lot, at all and would take over 20 yrs to get payback.

B& Q wind turbines a re not very good either, they are cheap chinese rubbish i have heard complaint of the bearings going, and also the yield and optimal performance are over exagterated.

if you want a good sourse of renewable energy go for evacuated tubes for hot water , shortest payback, a good system should set you back about 3 grand, beware of cowboy installers though!

That will depend on the type of cell u buy. figure on a storage system that will supply about 4 times what u need. In the u. k. go for about 4 times the panels u figure u will need . Also coming from the solar panels u want a regulator to protect the batteries. Between the panels isolate each other a diode to prevent a short in one sell affecting the others.
