Lu 6:27 But I say unto you which hear, Love your enemies, do good to them which hate you, 28 Bless them that curse you, and pray for them which despitefully use you.
Mt 5:44 But I say unto you, Love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you, and pray for them which despitefully use you, and persecute you; 46 For if ye love them which love you, what reward have ye? do not even the publicans the same?
Ro 12:20 Therefore if thine enemy hunger, feed him; if he thirst, give him drink: for in so doing thou shalt heap coals of fire on his head.

It's quite a different kind of love than the erotic/romatic. It's acceptance, respect and cooperation that the "love thy neighbor" passage and similar ones are talking about. We Americans misuse the term "love" more than any other in the English language. Your profound fondness for chocolate is certainly not the intense erotic urges you feel towards your spouse - yet you, and virtually all of us, call both by the same word - love. You certainly don't love your own brother the same way you love your spouse - but we don't even have a word that diffrentiates between the two kinds of love. So you see, it is possible to love someone you don't like when all that that love consists of is a basic "live and let live" attitude. Y'don't have to have intercourse with him, but y'don't have to stick a hatchet in his head, either.

Find a Red Letter edition of the Bible, that points out Jesus's words. That will cut down on the awesomeness of looking at all those words!
He said we need to get off of our high horses. Because we are all human , and make the same common errors. Letting people get to us. Wanting to hurt them back,
etc., etc.
People say they want communication, and then criticize and criticize. It's a silly
mind game. And it only makes people clam up, and destroys communication

The bible never said you had to like someone, but love them yes. If someone has done you wrong and you have tried to fix the problem between you two then walk away and let God take care of them.

I can't give you scripts from the bible but may be I can give you what I have learned, When God says to love everyone, it means not this body of us it's the soul .All soul are the same and they belong to God. If somebody says I hate you I won't be offended because he is hates this body not my soul, I myself hate this body.

Matthew 5.42-44 Don't just love those close to you (even non-christians do that) but even love your enemy.
