If at all possible you should try to find out his last name. Talk to as many family members about him as you can. Gather all the information you can and start searching the internet. As a result of such things my family had a woman contact us and she turned out to be related to my grandfather and I know she did a lot of work on the internet. It is a good place to start, however it is time consuming but a place to start. You just search his name in Canada, like "Chris Lastname in Canada". Good luck and I hope you find him.

try shipping lists for canada ,estimate his age to immigration records...good luck
