Is there a possibility that the Minute Men might turn into a gang or a hate group?

Do you think there is a possibility that it may happen? There are many organizations and groups that started out as good, but then slowly became bad. Now they are bad. Do you think it will happen to the Minute Men? What if some of them are bad and kill some of the illegal immigrants trying to cross the border and then bury them somewhere in the desert or stuff them in their house? What will happen? I am so worried.

I am worried about the criminals in Mexico also. But I worry about the ones in this country.

I also heard that the leader of the Minute Men was crazy. I heard he threw a chair at someone and hit his head on the wall and screamed at his wife and son. I am worried about this!

But what if crazy people join the Minute Men? If many crazy people (with secret mental problems) join, then it will turn bad! I am very worried!

They already are a hate group (anti-Hispanic) and they have no legal authority to act as they do. The fact that some law enforcement agencies may overlook their illegal activities does not change the issue: The Minutemen's goal is to instill fear into Hispanics/Mexicans (whether legal or illegal) through intimidation.

Remember, the Ku Klux Klan started as a vigilante group whose stated purpose was to "enforce the law of the land." Sympathetic law enforcement agencies overlooked their abominations as well.

I don't doubt some of the things you've mentioned (murder and burying the evidence) have happened already.

Nationalist and Fascist extremism ALWAYS turns into a disaster for innocent and right-minded people. WWII was the result of the actions of people (German, Italian, and Japanese) who had virtually the same mind-set as the Minutemen.

I believe that there are prob racist assholes that are joining the minutemen. Then there are the good guys. No telling-but I feel for the U.S. and the illegals crossing the border. They're coming here to secure a future for their children. But Mexico needs help in it's economy and government. They are beautiful people and Spanish is a beautiful language-but I believe that they need to learn English here in the U.S. Keep their heritage but become legal U.S. citizens and speak the language-English. I'm the type of person that will help those that I see are trying to better and help themselves.

Of course there could always be the possibility that they could turn into groups like La Raza Unida or The Brown Berets,or the KKK.But don't worry,the Minute Men are made up of people that don't want to destroy this nation.They have very strict requirements and a back ground check is done to weed our radicals.I would like to see your link about Chris Simcox abusing his family.That's new propaganda to me.The Minute Men have not killed any one.They have orders to never try to stop an illegal alien,they are only to call the Border Patrol and tell them where to come to arrest the illegal.They are ordered to ignore taunts and attempts to get them to react to illegal supporters.They have very strict rules that they follow.So don't worry about any of the lies and BS you have heard its not going to happen.

In your profile you state you are against gangs but in another question that you ask on this forum that is closed to answers you state. " does the MS-13 worship the devil" and then go on to say that you hope not because your boyfriend is in that GANG.

Whats up with that? You and he are no better than any other killer or thug that is in prison. How much have you personally benefited off of the criminal acts performed by your boyfriend. I wish that someone in the government reads this public forum and has an investigation into your confession that you boyfriend is in a gang full of killers, drug dealers and losers in society. It probably wont matter to much though because if you live by the gun you die by the gun. So more than likely he will be killed by another criminal that he is trying to rob or be killed by the cops or at the very least be sent to prison and then be deported. You should also be put in prison and deported for being an accomplice to a criminal.

This is abaolutely absurd! Most Americans are truly law-abiding citizens unlike the illegal aliens! By crossing our border the illegal aliens have proven they have no respect for our laws. The minutemen on the border have proven themselves to be for a lawful society not a lawless society! I have to wonder why the federal government is not enforcing our laws...nothing dooms a country more.
You should worry about our country if our government continues to endorse a group of illegal alien criminals instead of law abiding Americans trying to protect our country!

I wouldn't spend too much time worrying about the Minute Men being crazy-if you want something to worry about -worry about those unsecured borders in America these men are protecting.
Worry that if the Minute Men weren't there every freak terrorist, murderer, drug lord, arsonist, child molester., and thief from anywhere in the world can sneak into our country undetected and threaten your family and friends and better yet know that some of this filth already has entered this country and there are people who don't care that people of unknown origin are sneaking into our country.

Why not try worrying about the criminals being dumped over the border from the overcrowded Mexican jails? Or, how about worrying about the state of Medicare when we're shelling out for all of these illegals to get welfare.

Do you know what it's like to be in a relationship? Sometimes you yell at each other, Do you know what it's like to have kids?.
No? I suppose you are too young to know about any of that.

Do you know a small screen actress Adriene Shelley was killed recently by an illegal alien, She told him to stop being so loud when he was doing construction work and he assaulted her and then hung her in her bathroom to make it look like she committed suicide. Because he didn't want to be caught and deported - She had a husband and a two year old child - THAT worries me.

There is always a possibility for anything. In my opinion they are doing a wonderful job. There is nothing wrong with wanting safe borders. What you should really worry about is Islamic Extremists, or a dirty bomb slipping across the border. Now that has me worried.
