This is typical! You just do not want to be alone! But better off being alone than keep waisting you time on this relationship that is just going nowhere! think of all the bad time you had not the good ones!
The reason why we are with someone is the reason why we SHOULD NOT be with that person, this works for relationships that are NOT working, like yours or when someone WANTS the person for all the wrong reasons!
The cure? TIME .
If you keep drinking you will wind up drunk dialing her and making a fool out of yourself! Plus all the relative problems alcohol causes!
Don't try to"bump" into her, stay away from mutual friends for a while.Keep busy, keep moving on!!!!!!!!!!
TIME TIME TIME cures all! That I promise!
Good luck!!!

You can't. Love is a strange and powerful thing. I met a guy about a year ago, and didn't take the opportunities, not ready, scared...now I regret every day and think of him constantly. This is my dream guy and soul mate. He stopped contacting me a while back, I have lost contact. I know he is really crazy about me, just like I am about him. Lost his number. Maybe he thought I was playing a game. When I really needed a little bit more time. I would love to meet up again and have a second chance. Life has it's own ways and treasure her memory. If she is around, go and see her, maybe if you could see her once more or talk to her you will know either way. Maybe then you can get her out of your mind and into your life or let go. Somewhere one must find closure. I just want to see him again....same reason

Make a list of pros and cons about your relationship. On one side write down all the good things, and on the other side all the bad things. When you start fantasizing about getting back together with her, look at your list and get your mind right. If you broke up with her, and you are still thinking about her months afterward, then you should probably have a talk with her. Maybe you love her and if you are both willing to work on some things, it might be time to try again. In the meantime, do your best to get out and build a new life for yourself.

If you weren't happy together, why would you want to be together? It's convenient to think about her at the moment, because she has been such a huge part of your life for such a long time, but try to move on. Meet other people. catch up with old friends, and if you still can't get over it, then maybe discuss with her why you broke up in the first place, and maybe think about the dynamics of the relationship and why it can't work.
It all takes time, especially getting over long term relationships.
Good luck

Yeah that is to be expected. But think of it this way if it was not meant to be and you know that that the best thing to do is move on to someone else. Trust me I know this is hard and you may never forget her but the only thing you really can do is to find someone else. If you can't do this than all that will happen is you will never want to stop thinking of her than that will lead to many other doubts about yourself and you life.

You have too much time to look backward instead of living in the here and now. Involve yourself in activities that take the focus off from you. Volunteer to be a big brother. Go and offer your help in a nursing home. Offer to teach reading to kids at your local library.

Association with inanimate objects causes feeling of their missing from ur life. I wept when I sold my first car after using it for 4 years. Companion ship with human beings will definitely cause one to feel lost. After all ur companion had some good qualities which u liked but her bad habits made u separate from her.

Start dating immediately. That is the only way to stop thinking about her. This is what I had to do with my ex-husband (even though I was the one who initiated the divorce). Someone gave me this advice, and it was the best advice ever. I am now happily remarried. I hope this helps. I know how you feel.

why did you end it? think about that reason, maybe you loved her but your relationship lacked something? go to counseling , talk about it. then if it doesnt really work out do something with friends to get it off your mind, i know its hard but youll be glad at the end.
