I know they went bankrupt and then Sony bought them. Are they planning to launch new cameras that they're old lenses and accessories will be compatible with?

No, they didn't go bankrupt and no, Sony did not buy them. Konica Minolta sold off their camera and photo business to Sony (with a focus on continuation of the Maxxum line), but KM is still operational in their other business lines.

And yes, Sony has released a DSLR that is compatible with Maxxum lenses, i.e., the Alpha A100. I'm not sure about compatibility of accessories, but I'm going to be finding out soon (by purchasing one).

The DSLR camera that Minolta was working on is now under the Sony name. They state that the lenses still interchange so no worries. The new camera is getting mixed reviews so do research or wait for the next generation of this camera once Sony has the opportunity to work it over.

Sony has taken over their range and now makes DSLRs that are compatable with Minolta's lenses. Find out more: http://www.sony.net/Products/dslr/
