Go to a arts & craft store, (Micheal's, A.C. moore, etc.,) They sell something that looks like double sided tape, but is made for hanging pictures flush to walls, as long as the canvas isn't too heavy.
Hope this helped! Good luck!

You need to hang the wire on the back of the picture over two hooks on the wall as far apart as possible.

There were so many woodworking plans with this collection and you will not believe this but there are over thousands plans in the one package deal. Go here https://tr.im/YtHaw
This is really something to find that many all together. For someone like me who is just really starting to get involved with woodworking this was like letting me loose in a candy store and telling me I could have anything I wanted. That was my dream when I was a kid.

Go to Homebase, they have a wee flat plate that will secure to the picture, and a wee flat plate that you secure to the wall, they interlock and are dead flat. They are sold in pairs

dowel rod, decorative cord, map tack.

Fold material over rod (safety pin back sice), attach cord to ends of rod, map tack (or picture hanging fitting) straight pins at bottom.

You can use map tacks, straight pins, upholstery pins without the dowel rod. (I have a beach towel hung this way) I don't recommend two-sided tape, it will remove paint when taken off of the wall....not a fun repair job.
