cudn't be "DAVIDS SON" because David called him(messiah)"lord". Thus the messiah would not come from his lineage.

So why is Jesus still refered to as "SOn of David"?

In Ps. 110:1 David is talking about Jesus. It's a prophecy you ran across. And Jesus repeated it when he was talking to the Pharisees.
Mat 22:42-46 "What do you think about the Christ? Whose son is he?" They told him, "David's."
He asked them, "Then how can David by the Spirit call him 'Lord' when he says,
'The Lord said to my Lord, "Sit at my right hand, until I put your enemies under your feet"'?
If David calls him 'Lord', how can he be his son?"
No one could answer him at all, and from that day on no one dared to ask him another question.

Jesus was showing it was more important to be recognized as the Son of God than a son of David

David did indeed sit on God's earthly throne. Along with the rest of the Kings of Israel.
But Jesus, from the line of David sits on God's heavenly throne, and will rule for a thousand years.

Co 15:24 Then the end will come, when he hands over the kingdom to God the Father after he has done away with every ruler and every authority and power.
1Co 15:25 For he must rule until God puts all his enemies under his feet.

No, the Messiah is the son of David. I think the point Jesus was trying to make, was that He was not only the son of David but also the son of God.

And how does that mean that the messiah could not come from Davids line?

Because when you follow the lineage of David you will see that it comes down to the house of Joseph and Mary the mother and adopted father of Jesus. All the generations of the Bible especially coming from the OT goes down to Jesus if you read Matthew chapter 1 you will see the evidence there.

You have an incorrect assumption. David called him (messiah) lord because he was God (Trinity).
