If its the person you are looking for do you really even need to ask if it will work out. I can understand if he was 15 years younger but its only 2 you are sooo close in age no worries.

It depends how old you are. If you are 18 and he's 16, I would say no it won't work out. But if you are in your 20's or 30's then I'd say, yes it could work out, unless he's extrememly immature for his age.

A two year age difference is the same as no difference. If you've found who you're looking for count your blessings and don't worry about it. Some people look their entire lives and NEVER find whom they're looking for.
