A lot of times it can. It really depends, because not all diabetes is strictly from lifestyle. It is also genetic.
My father is a diabetic, and he is a good weight so the doctor did not want my father to lose weight, but the exercise and stress part he did want him to do. It won't alwasy stop a person from becoming a diabetic, but it can help to control the diabetes.

Not always but yes for the most part. There are skinny/healthy weight people that get diabetes when they get older just because they are genetically predisposed. By dieting/watching your sugar/carb intake you can slow down the process substantially. Be sure to look for a "diabetic" specified diet. Many fruits & vegetables also contain alot of sugar. Take for example carrots, corn, etc, as per my mother's dietician they contain to much sugar for diabetic intake.

It sure can. It can be reversed even by a 10 per cent weight loss, and a sugar-controlled eating plan and regular exercise like walking.

I found a great stress website.
Check out ( http://www.reducingstress.net )
they have some content specific to this question there, but it may not be that easy to find.
Try the stress and weightloss section.
Good luck.
