Forget about religion ! Even the current human civilization based on nuclear fission will not last long. It will give way to a civilization based on bones & ashes. Religion will be replaced by spiritualism in which man will worship the God in his heart with the help of his mind.

Hello!
Before answering your question.
Let me make it clear that I'm a Catholic. I can't explain fully to you why I believe, have always, believed and could never hide from God and in times when I turned my back I found it impossible to stop. Why my heart feels lifted and on fire in Church and why I love mass so much!!!
Some people think that Aliens are the new Religion. Just as the earlier pagan and ancient religions were replaced by Judaeism, Christianity, Hinduism, Islam etc. Some people think that there will always believe in something what ever transpires there may be and that the belief in 'Good' and 'Evil' is just ingrained in some of us. It is thought that Evil Spirits, Demons,Grey aliens, Evil Fairies and on the other side of the coin Good deities, Kind fairies, The Trinity and Benevolent Aliens are the same thing and are viewed in terms of the popular belief systems at the time.

Possibly but I think spirituality and other such 'religions' will be around. Say some Pagan religions. Nature worship is not affected by scientific discoveries so I dont see why that would become extinct.
Maybe science will be a religion in the future
Who knows

200 years ago we had the enlightenment and it was decided that religion should be replaced by reason and logic which I think is a great idea. We are nearer to achieving that but the assault on organised religion has not yet achieved the ultimate goal.

After Armageddon, there will no longer be a need, as humans will have total recall and be able to teach their children what they need to know. Knowledge of the old system will no longer be a necessary part of life and faith. Since sin will have been abolished, there would be no need to learn about such things as asking for forgiveness.

Religion, especially Christianity, will never become "extinct" since it is the Truth.

All religions will become 'extinct' soon. When the Lord Jesus Christ returns.

We can only hope and pray (pardon the pun). Secular humanism is a perfectly appropriate alternative to the abomination called "religion".

Hopefully. Religion doesn't need to be replaced by anything, there are already perfectly healthy, happy people without it.
