Thank you all for answering my question, But I found it dusturbing that most of you answered with "Because we need help"...thats scary!!! Im very opened minded, so I have to ask one more question. If you need help, Why would you turn to a religon?

It depends on what kind of help you need. Money? Then borrow from the bank. Physical or mental? Go to a doc. Don't be disturbed that people answered "we need help", look at the world, no one can figure out what to do. People at war, people hating others because of what they believe or don't believe. Kids starving. Its a mess out there. We are need a hiding spot where we can go get renewed to face the trials of life. That is what faith does for you. You get the strength to go on and try and help others who are struggling too. I don't see having faith as a weakness as some people on this site seem to think. I see it like a place to go when I need encouragement to live life to the fullest. You know like in hockey or football, there is a team coach, to guide and instruct, that thought doesn't scare you. Don't be alarmed that everyday people need a little coaching too, just like those players.Religion, has taken a very bad wrap because just like everything else in this world there are people who do terrible things and call it religion. However, I am not speaking about following a bunch of rules, I am talking about a relationship with God. True followers do not want to hurt people, they want a world were you can live in peace.Because a person followers a certain faith doesn't mean you leave your brains at the door. Its error to call any group of people stupid because they think different than ourselves, that to me is narrow minded and scary. Hope this helped answered your question. Good Luck on your journey in this life.

O black Orchid, if you only knew... Best of luck to you, you'll need it.

Then back to the questioner: How did you get here? Let me guess big bang, ha ha! Whatever.

You know I've actually seen wonders through prayer, really! That’s my prove... The path your on, I’ve experience it and it was so f-up... Why do think for 1000 of years people still have religions, because its worth it! They've seen miracles! That’s way there’s books about it and everywhere in history you'll find stories of the higher power. So do you really think we just use it to comfort us, that people that live so long ago, just wrote this amazing stories for fun, I don’t think so... You sound like a really nice person, just try it for ones and see how you respond, try... Then make your own decision. X

Because this world isn't exactly a safe calm happy haven. You realize there is something missing. In time you begin to wonder if there is something more. Spiritually something was missing. It may take you some time to understand this. I really did not need "help" per say.

I turned to God, because I couldn't help myself and no one else seemed able to help either.
When I did call to God, He did answer me though and He healed my broken spirit. He turned my life around. I haven't been the same since and it's been almost 10years.
For me it's not about religion. I don't follow certain rules or rituals. It's about a relationship. I got to know God as a loving father who cares about me.

Everyone of us needs help at some point of time in life
Whether it be money or spiritually.....for money you go to a family member or friend
For Spiritually: You go through God...Why:Because He holds all the answers to Salvation and Peace
But this decision has to be yours to make
all I can say is to read and decide for yourself

Such is Allah, your real Cherisher and Sustainer: apart from truth, what (remains) but error? How then are ye turned away? (Chapter #10, Verse #32)

Say: "Truly, my prayer and my service of sacrifice, my life and my death, are (all) for Allah, the Cherisher of the Worlds: (Chapter #6, Verse #162)

Well turning to religion means turning to god, it makes sense to turn to your creator when you have a problem. And who can help us better than the creator himself. And our creator is Allah. Heres what quran says about god.
in part 114
" He is Allah the one"
"the self sufficient master whom all creatures need"
"He begets not, nor was he begotten"
"and there is none co-equal or comparable unto him".

Because through prayer, God has made my life so much better, even when I need help. (Not religion, but God Our Father.)
