It all depends on the individual dog.... bladder size, how much they drink etc. We have a 15 YO crossbreed. He is left for around 4 hours in the morning, walked at lunch, then 3.5 hours in the afternoon, before we get home at teatime. We let him out for a wee just before bedtime (11ish) then he doesnt go again till 8 in the morning. As I say, it all depends on the individual dog.

A dog who is used to go when they want will find it difficult to hold on. You need to build up the time she can hold it for. Let her out for a wee just 6 times a day and decrease it gradually if necessary. She should be fed twice a day by this age - if not once, and will poo about 12 hours after her meal. Feed her in the morning and the evening so she doesn't need to poo in the middle of the day. A physically mature dog - 11 months is mature enough - will be able to hold for 6 hours if they haven't been jumping around and have been resting for that period.
You don't mention how long you will be out a work for but considering what your dog is used to I would expect accidents if you leave her for longer than 4 hours.

11 months old is still quite young to expect it to 'hold on' for lengthy periods of time, I'm afraid I will NEVER agree to leaving a dog for more than about 4 hours MAX, I would never/could never leave my GSD's for 12 hours, it's a bit cruel to expect any dog to wait for a wee for that long, when you are at work I bet YOU go when you want to (within reason) maybe every 3-4 hours so I think that 4 hours for a dog to wait for a pee is quite long enough!!!

Depending on size, she should be able to hold it 2-10 hours. I would not recommend going 10 hours, I'm just saying they could. A doggy door or a dog walker is a great compromise.

Depends on the dog - every dog is different, including some breeds do better than others. Small, toy dogs are the worse at holding it.
Good luck - only time will tell.

At this age she should be able to hold it for hours, does she go allnight without needing to go out? It would be best if possible you or someone could let her out at mid day if you are working full time so she isn't left too long.

Have you not noticed a pattern when she needs to go? Mine usaully go twice to three times a day. Take your dog out in the morning and in the evenings when you get home. She will then adjust to your timetable.

My dog can hold it for at least 12 hours and have heard it said they can wait 15 hours, if you make a regular time for her to empty her bowls that fits your day, she will get used to it, it will usually take about a week but please don't smack her if she has an accident, just let her know you are angry.

Depends on the age but, my dog can go 14 hrs. if needed. I don't recommed that for Dogs under 2 yrs because their bladder isn't usually capable for that yet. It will take time to get her to hold it for longer periods so be patient. Good Luck :)
