could be a voltage spike, but if its not hooked up to a jack then your guess is as good as mine.

If your serious though, some phones ringers ringers (bells inside the phone) are spring loaded. If it brakes or loosens under pressure it could cause it to ring but just for a moment. If it rang 5 or 6 times get the Hell out of dodge!!!

Call a psychiatris[sp] because you're probably hearing things.

But it could have been your TV, your other phone, or a neighbors TV or phone.
