Question about a bible translations?

Douay-Rheims Bible, is this a good translation? Why, or why not? Please give me some links to look at.

Not a good translation - thats why catholics like to use it :)

This version comes from multiple editions of Challoner's revised Douay-Rheims Version of the Holy Bible. In 1568 English exiles, many from Oxford, established the English College of Douay (Douai/Doway), Flanders, under William (later Cardinal) Allen. In October, 1578, Gregory Martin began the work of preparing an English translation of the Bible for Catholic readers, the first such translation into Modern English. Assisting were William Allen, Richard Bristow, Thomas Worthington, and William Reynolds who revised, criticized, and corrected Dr. Martin's work. The college published the New Testament at Rheims (Reims/Rhemes), France, in 1582 through John Fogny with a preface and explanatory notes, authored chiefly by Bristol, Allen, and Worthington.

It is a translation of a translation of the Bible. So, in reality, it's a paraphrase and not a translation. Translations go back to the original text, not some other version of a translated Bible.

edit- Well, I can't find my source now, but it's a good Bible because it does not have God's name removed in it like other Clementine Bibles. The King James Version is a Clementine Bible

Never heard of it but try and compare with the other Bibles and see if it's correct and don't just read a few verses and say it's all good.

I've never even heard of this Bible. The King James version is the only translation I know of that is believed to be sanctioned by God. It was prayed about so very much and in every case it was given the go by God Himself. How do we know this? You'll never understand unless your one of His.

Here is a comparison of a portion of this scripture with other versions.

KJV John 3:7 Marvel not that I said unto thee, Ye must be born again. 8 The wind bloweth where it listeth, and thou hearest the sound thereof, but canst not tell whence it cometh, and whither it goeth: so is every one that is born of the Spirit.

ESV John 3:7 Do not marvel that I said to you, 'You must be born again.' 8 The wind blows where it wishes, and you hear its sound, but you do not know where it comes from or where it goes. So it is with everyone who is born of the Spirit."

LITV John 3:7 Do not wonder because I said to you, You must be generated from above. 8 The Spirit breathes where He desires, and you hear His voice; but you do not know from where He comes, and where He goes; so is everyone having been generated from the Spirit.

ALT John 3:7 "Stop marveling that I said to you, 'It is necessary [for] you* to be born from above [or, born again].'" 8 "The Spirit breathes where He desires, and you hear His voice, _but_ you do not know from where He comes and where He goes. In this manner [or, Like this] is every [one] having been born from the Spirit."

The last two translations are supposed to be "literal" translations.
