You need your stovetop for the cooking portion and about enough room to store 1 or 2 five gallon buckets. That's about all the space it has to take up. You CAN use far more space if you want to do more, and the sky's the limit there, but for one batch at a time, all you need is some place to put the fermentor (bucket or carboy). Most of the rest of what you use are essentially kitchen utensils and can be stored anywhere.

Actually, an average kitchen will do just fine for batches of 30 liter or less. The cooking and fermentation part only take up limited space. It's when you are ready to bottle that you need to have plenty of space so you wouldn't be tripping over bottles and stuff. Avid beer drinkers that make larger batches usually set up their gig in the garage.

It depend on how much you want to make. For a small amount you can use your sink, for larger amounts say a bathtub.
