I would not be eating Broccoli raw anyway, lightly steamed is beautiful or even microwaved gently.
It has all the essential nutriments far more than asparagus and easier ie: more plentiful. to purchase...
For men it helps fight prostate problems also so it has good benefits and is laden with Folate for Women also...

Nutritionally speaking, there's not much difference between broccoli and asparagus.
Remember that a diet will only work long term if you change your eating habits permanently. To get the most enjoyment from your vegetables, try mixing them. Use a combination of the ones you love the most and the ones you could generally pass on.
An easy way to make sure you are covering your nutritional requirements is that the plate of veggies should LOOK appealing. That is, there should be lots of different colors.
Also, try steaming your vegetables just to the point of tenderness. A little olive oil, lemon juice and finely chopped garlic or onion goes a long way in improving the flavor.
I left you a link on nutrition rich foods that may help in your quest for a healthier lifestyle. (Yes, I know it's on a women's health website, but good nutrition works for either sex.)
Good Luck!

Brocoli is the "super food" of all super foods, so possibly brocoli has a slight advantage---try having it steamed instead of raw. Anyway, asparagus certainly isn't bad for you, so I doubt it matters that much.

Broccoli is better for you because it is part of the leafy green veggies. But the best idea is to try all sorts of veggies. The more variety in color you eat the better off you will be.
Just remember when dieting to be careful of the things you add in order to make it flavorful. Try to experiment with spices, not butter or sauces.
Hope this helps...Good luck!!
