every doct put records according to his need
big hospitals put record for lifetime
but little practisemaking docter take record for 3month to two year
if patient not visited again
if patient visited then time limit of record increases

Hi there,
It used to be "five years" when we used to have separate store rooms etc etc..
But in this era of computerisation, it is better if we store the records for more time , maybe even for life time ! After all, this is an era of "paperless offices" , dont you agree ?
So.. "less storage space and less mental tension for doctors" !

Till the life of patient. These days, it is easy.. You can store it in CD or own computer.

All of your life. Anything from any doctors you've every visited should be included in your file.
