Please, please, please do not boil your vegetables before roasting them.
I know we are British, and our mothers gave us boiled steak ( step 1. put steak in the pan, step 2. turn on the ring), but it's time to move on.
Just season with sea salt and a drizzle of olive oil, then roast in pre-heated oven.
It is so very much better, and the world will stop laughing at our cooking.

You need a baking tray that you can put sunflower oil in. It needs to be about 1/2 inch up the side pop this in the oven about 200oC. Then part boil ya potatoes and when they have softened a little pop them on in the oil be careful not to splash yourself. Then pop them in the oven for about 1/2 hour turning half way through!

Potatoes should be parboiled. Once that is done, place the veggies in a bowl and toss them with balsamic vinegar and herbs. Lay flat on pan and roast. It will probably take about 45 minutes to cook through but check often to make sure they are not burning.

i always throw oil in a roasting tin, throw in chopped mushrooms, peppers, sweet potato, potatoes, carrots,
whole cherry tomatoes and some onion, i add a dash of powdered veg stock if i want it plain but sometimes want to spice it up with cayenne or something similar. then i get my hands in it and give it good old mix! then in the oven for an hour on about gas 4/180 and there you go!

I like to gently fry them till the edges go soft in a pan prior to puting them into the oven, at about 150c,
this gives a more uniform color with the vegetables as opposed to white/dark side to them

The best way to roast a vegetable is to boil it first and then fry it on a flat pan. Wait for it to be roasted

I like to cook them in a mix of butter and melted animal fat, in a metal roasting tray, at 180 celcius for 1 hour and 15-30 minutes. I don't parboil anything, but parsnips probably are better parboiled.

If it is a root vegitable you have to steam them first.
Other vegitable you can whack them them in the
oven, initially cover them with foil. Once tender

I'd parboil potatoes, but if you chop other veg up quite small, lay them flat on a baking sheet, drizzle olive oil, s&p and herbs over the top and roast for 1/2 hr to an hr, they'll be perfect!

Throw 'em in the oven. Highest temperature possible. Don't forget to buy a smoke alarm.
