does anybody out there know of circumstance how a 4 year old got such a sickness?

Typical transmission is through food contaminated with the virus. She/he could have gotten it through bad water, for example if you went camping recently and she/he drank water from a stream, she/he could have gotten it from shellfish if she ate something of that nature recently. Outbreaks are typically traced to unsanitary resturants. You may want to go ahead and report the illness to the health department if you eat out often and provide them a list of resturants you've attended recently.

i got it when i was 6 and noone knew how it happened.don't worry, your son/daughter will be fine
