this means on the day u receive ya money for ya working if you are in a union job you will likely make better wages then someone that isnt unionized ...doing the same type of labor... a union is a group that fights for rights and makes sure that employers dont fully screw over employees... many times they are connected to mafia. research "teamsters" for that connection

It means, they pay more money than a non-union job.
In reality, it's not always the case.
