I'm five months pregnant & I'm addicted to alcohol,cigs and marijuana( i stoped ecpirmenting new drugs since ive been pregnant),ive known about the pregnancy for 2 and a half months but i can't seem to stop drinking and smoking...AA meetings don't help,What are the chanes my baby will be born normal?& if there are birth defects what adoption agencies will take the baby from my hands?

Are you for real. Jesus I am sorry if you are because I am belly laughing. " What agencies will take my child if he or she has birth defects" that is an unbelievable statement. Were you raised by wolves? Well good luck with your addictions, kids are the best. Still laughing sorry. Maybe you should go for a tubal ligation after this one. It might be good for you. If the kid is mentally challenged they can still run and win the Presidential race . Keep that in mind . You can be the mother of the next president.

Okay do you remember Nancy Regan, the ex-first lady of the United States? She started this little anti-drug campaign, and still it works perfectly today. JUST SAY NO. You put them down and you stop using them. There is no other method that would be safe for you while you are pregnant, and my suggestion for you is that every time you crave a cigarette or to smoke marijuana, you tell yourself you aren't going to do it because you care about the well being of your unborn child. Alcohol (fetal alcohol syndrome) causes all kinds of problems for children, including learning disabilities and personality problems, cigarette smoking causes birth defects and low birth weight in infants, and I know you would not want to give a child those kinds of problems to deal with. You know, we don't ask to be born, we just are! So do yourself and your baby a favor, and just deal with it without altering your mind or body. Others do it every day and you can too. As for chances of what problems your baby will have, only a doctor can diagnose those problems or you will have to wait until the child is born to find out the extent of the damage that has been done. But please stop using alcohol and drugs and smoking now, and give your child the best chance for a healthy and happy life. Your question almost sounds as if the child has problems you will give it away, but if it is normal you will keep it? Or are you just planning on giving it up for adoption no matter what?

It's as simple as this, as long as that baby is inside of you it is just not your body anymore, but theirs and their life. Suck it up and be responsible, damnit! You have no right to make the decision to put those poisons into the body of your baby, it is selfish and you are weak to put your needs before that of your childs. I am not being harsh, this is someone's life you are creating and you should be thankful because so many women who cannot have babies would give anything for what you have. Even if you choose to put your baby up for adoption, which would be a very brave thing to do if you feel that you are not ready to become a Mother, that baby is your responsibility until the day you deliver. I can only hope that by some miracle that the baby has not suffered already, so suck it up, Buttercup, and quit NOW because that baby did not ask to be conceived and you owe it to the child to give it the best possible start in life.

REALIZE, that this is a human being in your belly -an innocent-that is part of you-you do have a right to destroy yourself- but should`nt you give your child a chance to live a normal life- not a vegtable in a institution,or a child who feels bad cause he isn`t as smart as everyone else? i know a woman whose child was born with alcohol fetal syndrome- he had to have a lot of heart surgeries, is small.& mildly retarted-meaning he won`t have a family & will have to be in a group home-btw- his mother & him are in jail right now for meth. it`s not too late.please STOP

you can stop doing your bad addictions do it for you baby or you will have a baby that isnt healthy at all. just quit doing all the stuff for your baby. yes agencies will take your baby .you are hurting your baby being a addict. be a good mommy and stop your drinking and smoking.

If you dont stop drinking, your child may end up with Fetal Alcohol syndrome. I really suggest you go into rehab. If you don't care enough to stop these habits, I suggest aborting the embryo.

consider if you have the right to blow your childs future all to hades...it worked fine for my wife on the cigs...if your love for the child is strong enough it will but you as the secondary concern.
