Usually you are constipated from not eating enough fibre and DRINKING AT LEAST 2 litres of water a day...
My suggestion would be exercise via walking etc, eat Oranges/Apples/Bananas as they stimulate the bowels together with WATER as mentioned most important as this bulks the stools and lubricates the bowels...
Then make sure you eat vegetables daily together with fruit, grainy breads if possible stay way from processed foods opting for fresh home cooked meals
Believe me when your bowels are ready you will go a couple times....other wise natural concentrated fruit laxatives are available over the counter...
Coloxyl & Henna is also good laxative

Most of what I've seen here seems like sound advice. Are you taking any medicationss that might affect your digestive system? If so, all the more reason to have more fiber
Fruits, veggies, are your friends right now. Cheese is delicous, but put it aside for a while. Exercise is always good, even just walking, or dancing with the raido.
Shake it up, baby...

are you regularly constipated?. I will advise you the following:
1. Make a mix with 1 glass of milk, 2 spoonful of honey and 1 of lemon.
2. Look in a pharmacy for natural products that contains plum, follow the directions.
3. Add to your diet more fiber, fruit, vegetable. And take extra amount of fiber like granola.
4. Try to have more physical activity.
5. Drink a lot of water.
Hope it will help you.

My Grandmother has this problem and she is 96. Why don't you try 1/2 cup Prune Juice with 3tablespoons of Milk of Magnesia, warm it in the Microwave and drink it. This usally produces something within 2 hours.

Eat 2 oranges whole not the juice. Drink plenty of water. eat plenty vegetables. You may take 2 tablespoons of olive oil twice today. This will help.
Subsequently, you need to avoid low fibre diets since they predispose to constipation.

If it is for 4 days, I would be going to a doctor to get this sorted out. If you have been eating normally, then it is possible that you have a bowel obstruction.
