on having anyone be nice to a question or answer I post. There have been some of course who seem open minded but the vast majority seem to just want to hate. So my question this morning is, do you think it is religion on it's own that makes people so mean or is it the fact that once you say you are a believer others automatically assume you are on the lower end of the intelligence pool?

Don't give up, I have found that your questions are very good and not one-sided. They make us think. I am a Christian and you give me things to think about. It actually helps me to be more open minded which I sometimes struggle with because I do see so much hate on here. I don't think it is the religion on its own. What society sees is only the bad side of religion and harps on that constantly. It doesn't show the good side at all.

We're living in what the Bible calls the last days, when people will behave in unloving intolerant ways, blinded by the god of this system. 2 Tim 3:1-5 2 Cor 4:4
We can only expect things to get worse but there is a light at the end of the tunnel Rev 21: 1-5 Psalms 37:11

I agree with you there. I think the reason people hate on other religions isn't because of the religion ITSELF, but the way it's taught/preached/taken these days. I've noticed some people who say that Allah is the one and only supreme being, I've heard others say God is the one and only supreme being, and so on. I think its partially this, that we can't accept that one man's or woman's God is the same as another man's or woman's Allah, and so on. For instance, my church/religion basically says, religions have their own truths, and each has its own speed, but they all have one thing in common, and that is that at the end, the follower/believer/devotee/etc will be reunited with God/Allah/Heavenly Father/etc, be in heaven, etc. So I'm fairly tolerant of all religions! In my opinion, hey if it makes you happy and doesn't hurt anyone else, go for it! LOL It really saddens me when I see people hating on others' beliefs and religions. That's mainly why I stay outta the R&S section on Y!A LOL! I hope to see more people like you, who're just lookin' for answers and to answer questions others have, on here in the future. Society, and the faceless internet is what makes people mean here. Most Christians, athiests, and Muslims are all very nice people. They just like to get you angry here because they won't feel bad about their own insecurities.
And yes, people assume I am on the low end of intelligence here because I believe, when in reality I am a scientist who enjoys proofs.

People interpret just about anything from the bible. The idea of religion is a great thought, but when man has that much power it creates hate. I think that it's great to believe in something. I'm not sure what I believe myself and that's why I do so much research. Just keep doing your research and don't be narrow minded with your thoughts. It will come to you.

I have been reported for questions and it is a certain group who gets insulted. Don't feel bad, God loves you! Who cares if the rest show hate.
