LOVE.

This is a press article on the Internet on November 12, 2006:

The source of love: Baha'u'llah
The Baha'I faith is an independent world religion. The Guiness Book of Records, 1998, names the Baha'I faith as the world's largest religion without rites, rituals and priesthood. It was founded by Baha'u'llah in the 19th century and today it is one of the most widespread religions in the world. Uniting the world and refining human morals are the two most important aims of the Baha'I faith. Unity in diversity can already be perceived in Baha'I communities all over the world, challenging the view that the unity of humankind is a utopia. To work for the establishment of a new world order, based on justice and equity, is the highest aspiration of every member of this worldwide religion. Baha'u'llah says `The earth is but one country and mankind its citizens.'
..on Baha'u'llah: `At no time in no dispensation have the prophets of God escaped the blasphemy of their enemies, the cruelty of their oppressors..' wrote Baha'u'llah, the founder of the Baha'I faith who like many other manifestations of God before Him, was subjected to severe persecution, including 40 years of imprisonment and exile. And yet, in spite of spending all those years in banishment and regardless of all the sufferings, heaped upon him, he revealed more than one hundred volume of books and tablets that constitute the bulk of the Baha'I sacred scriptures.
Claiming to be the manifestation of God for this age, Baha'u'llah has invited all the people of the world to independently investigate the truth of His cause and His claim. He has laid the foundation of a New World Order; a new global civilization, that should, in the fullness of time, replace the outworn order of the present age. The beauty and the depth of Baha'u'llah's writings and the insights they offer have inspired and transformed millions of people the world over. The coming of Baha'u'llah has set in motion a silent revolution that is bound to culminate in the establishment of a peaceful and united world, a world free from hatred, injustice, prejudice and violence.
..On religion: Bahai's believe that religion is one, but it is progressive. Religious truth, according to the Baha'i'faith, is not absolute but relative and divine revelation is a continuous and never ending process. God has revealed his message to humanity progressively through his messengers based on the needs of each age and according to people's spiritual, social and intellectual capacity. The Holy Scriptures of all the revealed religions contain two major sets of doctrines- spiritual precepts and social laws. Baha'u'llah says `religious fanaticism and hatred are a world devouring fire, whose violence none can quench.'
The spiritual precepts that deal with the eternal truths, such as belief in God, love, honesty and trustworthiness remain the same in all religious texts, while the social laws are different because they were revealed to satisfy the specific needs of a particular era. It is neither practical nor prudent to try and enforce those social laws that were revealed for conditions several centuries ago. To be truly religious, one is expected to independently search after the truth and follow those social laws that remedy the ills of the society in which one lives.
If viewed objectively, from a historical perspective, it becomes clear that all religions inspired the evolvement of great civilizations, each one progressively leading humanity to where it stands today. Baha'u'llah says `The religion of God is to create love and unity; do not make it the cause of enmity and discord.'
..on worship: The Baha'is believe that God is unknownable but Omnipresent. They pray to Him at any time and anywhere. There are also many Baha'is, houses of worship that are built by the Baha'is, but are open to the people of the world. All the Baha'i houses of worship, thought of different designs, have nine gates, welcoming the followers of all religions. There are no photographs and no idols inside these houses of worship. Apart from praying and reading the holy scriptures of different religions, no other activity, including preaching, is allowed inside the prayer hall. The Baha'is believe that any place wherein the mention of God is made sacred. They therefore respect all the places of worship, irrespective of the creed the represent. In the world seven Baha'i worship temple one of them is situated in New Delhi which we call `Kamal Mandir'.

that we reincarnate, and that we are on this earth solely for the purpose of getting reunited with God/Allah/Divine Mother/Heavenly Father/etc and His/Her unconditional love and bliss. We believe there are many ways to get back to Him, and that each path/religion has its own truths.
