She has sciatica. Very painful. Inflammation of the sciatic nerve.
Doctor can prescribe anti-inflammatories or better still go to health shop and get homeopathic remedy called Rhus Tox.
She will still have to get to the root cause of problem though if it recurs. Yoga helps.

Sounds like Sciatica, I've had it. Mine is caused by my neck being out of alignment, (often after I've sneezed). I go to an Osteopath who sorts it out immediately, he also does a bit of lower back treatment, no second visit needed.
I have found that I need a strong, stocky Osteopath, as I'm short, stocky and about 13 stone and they need to be able to manipulate me correctly, so make sure your friend feels comfortable with whoever they go to.

take the medicine, discomfort is undesirable.... I guess you will locate different 'herbs to shrink your urge for foodstuff. ingesting is all approximately controlling your innovations. only meditate and reprogram your innovations/physique to get used to the hungry feeling whilst it takes the medicine... and supply into the sensation once you certainly would desire to eat. or only eat something very very slowly alongside with this. That way you're ingesting/happy for awhile, yet not overeating.
