Whatever in the world makes you think the department of education is thinking about deleting the 7th grade? I've never heard such a thing. By the standards we see here on Yahoo, it seems I would agree with someone else here, we need to ADD a grade, so that nice kids like YOU will learn to write proper sentences, learn to spell and generally be well educated adults.

I'm hearing that they want to make school longer, as in hours per day as well as adding more days. I can't see them wanting to remove any grade, I don't see the purpose when the nations average is low to begin with. Sorry I can't be of more help

schools are over crowded and kids aren't getting the education they need now get rid of a grade and it will make the whole thing worse. Its bad when kids graduate and they can't read or make proper sentences.
