You can look for work but, you cannot work legally work unless you have a work visa. My advice would be to find a company which want to hire you when you get to the U.S and have them sponsor you a work visa. To qualify for a work sponsored visa through an employer you have to have a job that the U.S thinks no one else can perform but you. Otherwise you are looking at applying for residency when you step foot on U.S soils.

No. First Apply for job, Attend Interview, clear it. USA company would provide you visa and tickets. USA is too expensive to manage without job.

If your visa is for tourism or business trip only, you cannot work because if you are caught, you will be deported.

Oh boy.
you can do it illegaly, there is no other way I guess (except green card lottery, mariage to us chick etc.)
